Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and sketches to determine dimensions, materials, and procedures needed for each project.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, metal, and other construction materials with precision to meet job specifications.
• Construct, install, and repair structures such as walls, floors, ceilings, and framing for residential projects.
• Build and assemble frameworks, partitions, and structural components using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Install finish elements such as doors, windows, stairs, mouldings, and cabinetry, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and appearance.
• Adjust, repair, or replace worn or damaged structures and fixtures to maintain safety and structural integrity.
• Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment to prevent injuries and maintain a clean, hazard-free job site.
• Supervise or assist less experienced carpenters and apprentices, ensuring quality standards and best practices are followed.
• Perform inspections of work areas and completed projects to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and client specifications.

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary school or equivalent.
• A minimum of one year of direct work experience in carpentry, open to learning sustainable and progressive building methods.
• Experience and prior knowledge in regard to residential construction workflow and practices is a must.
• Ability to work independently or and with a team and other teams.
