Position:                     Computer Software Engineer – NOC 21231

Lintex Computer Group Inc. (Lintex CGI), a division of V-Soft Consulting, is a diversified IT Resources company located in the Greater Toronto Area – Ontario.

Lintex CGI offers IT solutions to some of Toronto’s leading tech businesses and has been developing essential IT infrastructure using in-house talent for several years throughout North America.

With a focus on reliability and meeting client expectations, Lintex CGI continues to grow and is currently looking for a Computer Software Engineer to join their team based out of Toronto Ontario.  

The Computer Software Engineer is responsible to research, design, evaluate, integrate and maintain software applications, operating systems, and embedded software for our clients and within the organization.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Collect and document users' requirements and develop logical and physical specifications.

·       Research, evaluate and synthesize technical information to design, develop and test computer-based systems including specific       applications.

·       Support the development and growth of the services delivered by Lintex, a V-Soft Company.

·       Support sales of software and services through demonstrations, Proof of Concepts, and customer presentations.

·       Deliver projects on customer premise or remotely as required. Most engagements are remote.

·       Design flexible infrastructure based on the needs of business problems and customer flow.

·       Develop Java backend web services and Restful APIs based on the business specifications.

·       Code on Java Spring boot framework. Also work with open-source packages like Google, Apache, and Lombok specifications.

·       Hande end to end delivery of product including design, Initial PoC and deployment to production.

·       Work with popular databases both On-premises and Cloud like PostgreSQL, Oracle SQL, SQL Server.

·       Mentor and guide junior developers to understand issues, resolving blockers and help speed up the process.

·       Perform code reviews, pair programming and reviewing test cases and scenarios.

·       Language agnostic development with Java, Python and favoring open-source tools.

·       Quick to market strategist with capacity to generate APIs with minimal dependency and supervision.

·       Support the deployment and providing L2 and L3 support during warranty.

·       DevOps tooling with Splunk, Static code scanning, Docker, Ansible for quick plugin and consumption of services.

·       Develop data, process and network models to optimize architecture and to evaluate the performance and reliability of designs.

·       Assess, test, troubleshoot, document, upgrade and develop maintenance procedures for operating systems and applications software.

·       Lead and coordinate teams of information systems professionals in the development of software and integrated information systems, various software and other embedded software systems.

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

             ·      Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering or completion of a college program in                          computer science is required

              ·      Two or more years of experience as a Computer Programmer is required

·      Ability to interact with people effectively and in a professional manner

·      Technical administrative experience is an asset

·      Ability to work independently and in a team environment

·      Must be proficient with computers, especially Microsoft Office Suite (required).
