Axle Spindle Repair (Gmh Fleet Services Inc) has opening for Diesel Mechanic (NOC 72401). If you have what it takes to become successful in this career, then this is a right position for you. We are looking for safety and service oriented professional mechanic who is reliable, organized and excellent team player.

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will perform all or some of the following duties:

  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
  • Perform other routine maintenance

Education Requirements: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Work experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Terms of employment: Full Time / Permanent (30 to 35 hours / week), Paid Vacation

Compensation: CAD $34.30 /hour

Work site environment: Noisy, Dusty

Work Setting: Commercial

Employment Conditions: Day, Morning, Weekend
