Position:   Food Service Supervisor – NOC 62020

Wages:      $36.00 per hour, 30 to 44 hours a week

Al Deewan Bakery is a well-known bakery offering quality authentic Lebanese baked goods and recipes using traditional stone ovens and local fresh ingredients.

Al Deewan Bakery recreates the historic ambience found in the fresh food markets of Lebanon and employs traditional baking techniques bringing amazing flavours of authentic Labanese pizzas, baked goods, and pies/pastries to the Greater Toronto Area.

The bakery is seeking two self-motivated Food Service Supervisors to direct and co-ordinate the activities of our restaurant workers.

The successful candidates will also participate in various safety and training activities designed to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

This would be an excellent opportunity for someone with relevant experience to establish their career with a reputable restaurant. 
 

Job Duties:

  • Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food;
  • Establish work schedules and procedures;
  • Prepare food order summaries requested by restaurant Manager or General Manager;
  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation;
  • Maintain records of sales and wastage;
  • Train staff on job duties, sanitation and safety procedures;
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards set by AL DEEWAN BAKERY & PIZZA LTD.

 

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline OR Minimum 2 years of experience in food preparation or service are required.
  • Must have good time management skills;
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
