Human resources coordinator
We are looking for a “Human resources coordinator” for Broadstreet Properties Ltd. located at 100 St. Ann’s Rd, Campbell River, BC, V9W 4C4.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support and coordinate daily HR operations, including maintaining employee records, updating the HRIS, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Assist with full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, including job postings, interview scheduling, reference checks, and preparing orientation materials to ensure a smooth hiring process.

Collaborate with management to implement people strategies that promote a high-performing and engaged workforce across all departments.

Interpret and communicate HR policies and procedures, offering guidance to employees and managers on employment standards, benefits, and workplace expectations.

Organize and champion employee engagement initiatives, such as appreciation events, recognition programs, and internal campaigns that support company culture and morale.

Coordinate training and development activities, track participation, and support the delivery of professional growth opportunities for staff.

Assist with performance management processes, including tracking evaluations, preparing documentation, and supporting coaching and development efforts.

Build relationships with employees to understand their needs and contribute to strategies that enhance engagement, retention, and workplace satisfaction.

Become a subject matter expert in HR systems and tools, supporting the implementation and use of technology to improve HR processes and reporting.

Support employee relations activities, including conflict resolution, workplace investigations, and policy clarification in collaboration with HR leadership.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary school or equivalent
Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
Language: English
Annual Salary: $64,375 to $70,000 for 30 to 40 hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
Benefits: 4 % vacation pay
